We deliver Self-Employment Assistance program under Workforce Australia in Perth North region to help people start or grow their existing business.
The Self‑Employment Assistance Program provides a range of services for current and aspiring business owners ranging from flexible individual business advice sessions to a structured 12-month Small Business Coaching services. The program’s flexibility allows people to choose the support to best fit their needs and design their own pathway to sustainable and successful self-employment.
We focus on Business and Quality Auditing qualifications and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for public and private sector employees. The aim is to help you gain well-deserved qualifications either through RPL where we formally recognise the knowledge and skills or through the provision of additional accredited training to achieve your qualifications. We employ the very best trainers to deliver our nationally recognised qualifications and offer recruitment opportunities to ensure a meaningful training experience.
The program is open to people who are unemployed, under-employed and owners of existing micro-businesses (with up to 4 employees) who need support for their business to be commercially viable.
Businessplex Eligibility Criteria
- You must be at least 18 years of age for Small Business Training
- You must not be prohibited by law from working in Australia
- You must not be an overseas visitor on a working holiday visa or an overseas student studying in Australia
- You cannot be an undischarged bankrupt.

Workshops and Coaching
We conduct mini workshops, duration between 2-3 hours, so training can be effective and learning can be transferred to the businesses straightway. We know owners, managers and supervisors are busy with day to day work, therefore releasing employees for a few hours is more feasible than full day training.
